Flowers on the River
The Elephant Club and Family Resources will host their 14th annual “Flowers on the River” event on June 12 at 5:30p at Schwiebert Riverfront Park to remember those who have died from domestic violence. During the event, the names of victims will be read along with a symbolic placement of flowers on the Mississippi River. It serves as a public display of community support, raises awareness about domestic violence, and provides a space for reflection and remembrance for victims and their families.

Fill the Truck
Family Resources staff and volunteers will be collecting brand new basic need items outside of 12 area Hy-Vee stores from 9 am-noon on Saturday, June 14, 2025. All items collected will benefit Family Resources’ sheltering and housing services for survivors of domestic abuse, sexual abuse, sex and labor trafficking, homicide and other violent crimes.
