Volunteers really do make a difference!
Looking for ways to improve your community by volunteering for Family Resources? Whether you're looking to volunteer for one of our annual events or on a more regular basis, we have several volunteer opportunities available! Get Connected to opportunities by visiting our Volunteer Portal.
Volunteers truly make a difference in our communities and provide an invaluable supplement to staff resources. Without your help, our reach and impact to those in the community would not be possible. Our growth as an agency would also not have been possible without the continued support and eagerness of volunteers who freely give of their time to put their unique skills into action through service.
In Fiscal Year 2017 our 460 volunteers provided 19,761 hours of service for an estimated value of $305,309! Thank you to all past, present, and future Family Resources volunteers! We greatly appreciate your willingness to serve our communities.
Volunteers are invaluable members of the Family Resources team. Your help allows us to continue providing support to our children and families. Training is provided to program volunteers. The length of training varies depending upon the type of volunteer services you wish to provide.
A limited number of undergraduate and graduate internship opportunities are available at Family Resources on a volunteer basis. We are willing to customize the internship to fit college course requirements and professional interests of the intern. Internships are available in many of our programs including foster group care, survivor services, mental health and counseling, and more. For more information, please contact one of our volunteer coordinators below.
