OUR MISSION

Welcome

Nicole Cisne Durbin

President, Family Resources

When we reflect back on what it took for us to move through the challenges we’ve faced in a short time, we are astounded by this incredible organization and its people, by the collective ability to translate passion into purpose, and by the fortitude required to move from purpose to perseverance.

And today, we are keenly aware that none of what we’ve achieved would be possible without the partnerships that have provided us support during some of our most difficult moments.

We think about the position in which we found ourselves at this time two years ago. We had just begun to ask some really tough questions about the way we deliver services, particularly to the children we serve. We were beginning to discover that our approach - while well-intentioned - was not producing the outcomes these children deserved, and that the solutions seemed out of reach.

But we persevered. And sought partnerships that made the impossible possible.

And today - because of these partnerships - we are looking forward at the year ahead, ready to serve our children differently through the Coordinated Assessment Program.

This is one example of the power of partnerships in the work we do, but it is not the end of the story.

So, come with us on this journey and discover what we can create together.

Our Vision

A safe, healthy, and inclusive community

Our Values

Safety We create safety, both physical and emotional, for clients, employees, and community partners. When individuals feel safe, they can succeed.

Integrity We are honest and do what is right.

Trauma Informed Care We recognize trauma is widespread, and therefore we operate under a strengths based framework that is grounded in an understanding of adverse life experiences that individuals encounter. We promote a culture of safety, empowerment, and healing.

Partnership To achieve incredible outcomes and community success, we collaborate.

Diversity & Inclusion All are welcomed, included and empowered. We create an inclusive, organizational culture that respects and appreciates each individual’s lived experiences. Diversity in all forms creates a stronger organization and community.

Strong and functional families, in which people can be safe, authentic and grow, are the foundational blocks for any community to thrive. The mission and vision of Family Resources to empower, strengthen, protect and bring healing to families and to the communities, are very much aligned with the heart I have for a thriving, safe and healthy community.
