Quad Cities Suzuki Raises $11,000 for Family Resources, Inc.Quad Cities Suzuki contributed $100 for every new and pre-owned vehicle sold in April. These funds will be used to support special activities for the youth living in residential programs on campus, for women’s and children’s unmet needs in Family Resources Domestic Violence Shelters, and to help fund both domestic violence shelters summer programs for kids. With its residential programs and two domestic violence shelters, Family Resources serves nearly 1,000 infants, children, and adolescents each year. “It is gratifying to have community leaders like John Palmer who care about our work and are supportive of our mission,” said Tom Wilson, Family Resources’ President/CEO. “Providing healthy and safe activities for our kids during the year can be difficult and is particularly challenging during the summer months.” “We are pleased that this contribution will be used to help Quad City Area children and families,” said John Palmer, Quad Cities Suzuki Owner and CEO. The April donation is part of a new charitable giving program developed by Quad Cities Suzuki to support local community organizations. Each month the dealership contributes a portion of new and used vehicle sales to a selected charity. Employees receive information about the activities and mission of the charity, which they are instructed to pass on to customers. “Working with a different charity each month gives us the opportunity to give back to the community in a meaningful way,” Mr. Palmer said. “We hope that this program helps raise awareness of the excellent work that these organizations are doing in the Quad Cities.” DOVE Women's Golf TournamentLadies, sign up to golf in the DOVE (Domestic Violence Ended) Women's Golf Tournament on June 25th.
