Family Resources joins global campaign to create Start By Believing communities

I believe you. For a survivor of sexual abuse, these three little words can make all the difference. Family Resources is recognizing Sexual Assault Awareness Month by bringing the global Start By Believing initiative to our communities.

April is nationally recognized as Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Family Resources participates each year by hosting educational panels and teaming up with area colleges to spread awareness. This year we have teamed up with the Start By Believing campaign to help change the way we respond to sexual abuse. The third annual Start By Believing Day will be recognized Wednesday, April 4.

In utilizing billboards, radio advertising, broadcast PSAs, posters, social media and teaming up with local agencies our hope is to create a safe environment for survivors of sexual abuse. Take the pledge and view our public service announcement at www.famres.org/resources/startbybelieving or learn more about the global campaign at www.startbybelieving.org. Post your pledge to social media with #startbybelieving to spread awareness to your family and friends.
