Shannon is a dedicated Social Worker with over a decade of experience in the mental health field, working with a diverse range of individuals. With more than 15 years of experience in social services, Shannon has developed a deep understanding of supporting individuals with mental illness, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and autism.
A lifelong resident of Muscatine, Iowa, Shannon earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Upper Iowa University and her Master’s in Social Work degree from Walden University. Her primary focus includes helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, and trauma, and she works with individuals ages 10 and up. Shannon is passionate about building a strong, trusting rapport with her clients, believing that this foundation is key to achieving long-term success in therapy. She is committed to ongoing learning to expand her therapeutic skills and offer more effective interventions.
Outside of her professional work, Shannon is a proud mother of two children, whom she raises alongside her husband. She shares her home with several beloved pets, including two Lab/Bloodhound mix dogs, two parakeets, and a chinchilla. In her free time, Shannon enjoys creative pursuits such as crochet, macramé, embroidery, making miniatures, and cloisonné. She also finds joy in reading, watching movies, crafting her own herbal teas, assembling Lego kits, exploring nature, and baking.
