DAVENPORT, Iowa -- Survivors of Homicide Victims Awareness Month is observed annually November 20 through December 20. The ribbon color is purple. Family Resources' Survivors of HOmicide and Other Violent Crimes program is hosting three events:
- Jackson County Lunch and Learn from 12:30-2 p.m. on December 7th in the lower level of 201 W. Platt St. in Maquoketa, IA.
- Survivors of Homicide & Davenport Police Department Meet & Greet from 12:30-2 p.m. on December 7th at 416 N. Harrison St. in Davenport, IA.
- Holiday Open House and Support Group from 6-9 p.m. in Building C of Family Resources, 2800 Eastern Ave, in Davenport, IA. Light food and refreshments will be provided.

The Survivors of Homicide and Other Violent Crimes program currently offers services in several counties in Iowa, and will begin to offer services in Rock Island County on December 1, 2017. We are excited to extend our coverage and offer services to survivors in Illinois!
Services include crisis response, advocacy, education and referrals, safety planning and support groups.
