Four Oaks Staff Chat Follow up
For the past two months, we have conducted 24 Staff Chats at sites across Four Oaks, Jane Boyd, the Affordable Housing Network and Family Resources. We had an estimated 500 staff attend these events, that featured the CARE Team’s work – with team and supervisor kits, along with popcorn. Our thanks to Anne for taking the time to personally attend all of these chats which provided an opportunity for her to visit our Davenport, Muscatine and Moline sites.
Anne used the Staff Chats as an opportunity to share what we can expect in the year we just started: 1) we can expect change to continue, and we are good at adapting to change; 2) our purpose will not change – helping children and families achieve stability in the short and long-run (TotalChild); and 3) we are a team at a program/department, site, agency and enterprise level - and our teams will grow stronger this next year.
Wellmark ID Notice

As we transition to new contracts on July 1, you may find yourself with questions that need to be answered quickly in order to do your job. To assist you, we have identified staff who will be "on call" across the Enterprise to provide guidance and support as we roll out the new RRTS and CISR contracts.

Mount Mercy University offers a 10% tuition discount for any full-time Four Oaks employee who is enrolled in our accelerated, graduate and online programs. The 5 and 10 week course schedules along with evening classes allow for you to maintain a job, spend time with family and friends, and still pursue your degree all while completing the program. The University of Dubuque invites the staff of Four Oaks to consider the University of Dubuque’s Cedar Rapids LIFE campus to complete, or pursue, a bachelors or masters degree through their five-week, face to face program. For adult learners, ages 23 and over, enroll now to receive a 50% tuition discount per credit hour on courses offered on weekday evenings at their location at the Cedar Rapids LIFE Center. On Nov. 22, 2016, a Federal Judge issued a preliminary injunction blocking the Department of Labor overtime rule that was to go into effect December 1.
What does this mean for us? We will be putting our process on hold until a final ruling has been made.
