Wear TEAL to show your support for survivors.

April 3: Start by Believing Day
Family Resources staff will be out in the community asking members to make the pledge to Start by Believing when someone says they have been a victim of sexual abuse.  Booths are located at: Clinton Community College, St. Ambrose University and Fareway Grocery in Muscatine..

April 3: Baked Beer and Bread Co. Give 20 Fundraiser

Join us at Baked Beer and Bread Company as 20% of all food sales will support our Start by Believing Sexual Abuse Campaign.

April 9: St. Ambrose University Clothesline Project
10:00am - 1:00pm
SAU Beehive or RC Food Court

This project is a powerful visual display for individuals affected by violence to express their emotions through decorating a shirt. The shirts are hung on a clothesline for public viewing as a testimony to the problem of sexual and domestic abuse.

April 14: Survivor Day of Celebration
12noon - 2pm
Family Resources, Building C
2800 Eastern Avenue, Davenport
Join Family Resources' staff for an afternoon of pampering, expression and friendship. This free event will have hair styling, art activities and child care available.

April 16: Blackhawk College Clothesline Project
This project is a powerful visual display for individuals affected by violence to express their emotions through decorating a shirt. The shirts are hung on a clothesline for public viewing as a testimony to the problem of sexual and domestic abuse.

April 24: Denim Day
Wear DENIM to show your support and protest all sexual abuse, and to remind that no clothing item can cause or is an excuse for sexual assault.

April 25: Rock Island Arsenal Clothesline Project

Enjoy free dinner served by Family Resources Iowa Sexual Abuse Team and learn about programs and services available in the community.

All Month Long: Library Displays
During April, area libraries will feature displays for Sexual Assault Awareness Month.  Participating libraries include, Davenport (Main Street and Eastern Avenue), St. Ambrose University, Bettendorf, West High School, Central High School, Rock Island and Augustana.
