Kinsman Youth Emergency Shelter

The Kinsman Emergency Youth Shelter is located on the Wittnemyer Youth Center campus in Davenport, IA. Kinsman provides a safe place for boys and girls to receive the care and supervision they need during a time of transition, temporary displacement from home, or other such situation. Youth admitted to the Kinsman shelter stay as long as is necessary to obtain a safe placement within the community. Generally speaking, the length of stay at the shelter does not exceed 30 days.

Youth residing at Kinsman attend school on campus. Educational services are provided by the Mississippi Bend Area Education (AEA) Center.
