Anchorage House

Residential Treatment - Ages 4-12
Admission Criteria: Adjudicated "Child In Need of Assistance" (CINA)

Family Resources' Anchorage House Program is a residential facility specializing in meeting the needs of young boys and girls ages 4 to 12. The youth in our care have been adjudicated CINA by the courts or have an adjudication pending. Most commonly, youth are placed at Anchorage House as a result of aggressive, oppositional and defiant behaviors now causing severe disruption at home and/or their school setting. At Anchorage House, we recognize that these behaviors are typically in response to some kind of traumatic abuse and/or neglect, therefore, the focus of the program is on self-esteem, anger, and relationship issues.

The following provides a summary of programming available at Anchorage House:
  • A home-like setting located in a residential neighborhood

  • Behavior modification program that allows for adjustments according to functioning level and length of stay

  • Play therapy with a licensed therapist

  • Emphasis on family involvement (as appropriate) throughout the course of treatment

  • Optional services available including individual and family therapy

  • Elementary classroom at the Wittenmyer Learning Center available for youth that require additional assistance and structure

Additional services available with no additional authorization:
  • Foster Care/Adoption placement and counseling

  • Domestic Violence/Rape Sexual Assault Child Advocacy
